After many weeks debating, myself and 2 other poets from Birmingham decided to take ourselves down to London and get out of our comfort zone to perform. The event was amazing, where I got to perform amongst over 20 other open mic performers on the night in Camden.
. At the end of the night each guest was allowed to cast a vote for who they believed was the poet of the evening. Somehow I was selected as the winner by fine margin, which was very overwhelming for myself due to it being only the second time i've performed in London. Due to this I have now been selected to perform as the headline poet in March's event, so look out for that!
