Ryan Dre Sinclair is a 30 year old Poet,  Producer, Playwrite,  Self Published Author & Founder of Empower Poetry CIC  from Birmingham. He has been writing Poetry from his early teens after using it as an avenue to express his feelings and emotions after his brother was nearly murdered.

After a few years hiatus, Ryan regained his passion for writing after finishing studying at university. This lead to him self publishing the first of a two part book poetry/animation/emotional awareness book in 2018 entitled 'A Birmingham Story'.

 

More recently he has been commissioned and collaborated with companies such as the Arts Council,  Birmingham 2022 Centrica, The National Trust as well as appearing on BBC Words First competition for his performance Poetry. 

 

Ryan's recent work has also been recognised by GQ Magazine as apart of the 'Reframe Residency' project in collaboration with Apple& Southbank Centre.

 

He has recently released his debut EP 'Writing the Wrongs' and taken his debut Spoken Word Theatre Production 'Generations' to Birmingham's Crescent Theatre &  Nottingham Arts Theatre in the first half of 2024 .

Ryan's motivation stems from an ambition to inspire and have an impact on people, in order for them to take action on what they believe in, through sharing a message which is special and relatable for his audience.
